Well here is a 2010 review of Votivo. I was anxious to purchase Votivo candles because of all the past reviews I read. I really wanted a candle that actually throws to fill up a room. I have tried Yankee and get so frustrated when there is no throw at all for the price of those candles. They look nice but very rarely a throw.

I have tried alot of the mom/pop candles but they smell dirty to me.

Anyway, I read that Votivo has moved their production facility to SC and ever since the candles quality has gone down considerably. Why owners let this happen is so disturbing.

Unforutnately the Votivo's I received have similar throw to Yankees. It is very mediocre.

I also was unimpressed with the Red Currant. It does smell nice cold and when you put your nose right too it. But the only way I could get a strong throw was to melt the top of the candle by burning it 3 hours then transferring the melted wax to a candle /tart warmer.

Then I could really smell it but it reminded me of bug spray?! The rain candle was nice cold but very mediocre throw. Not sure what that smells like. It isnt unpleasant but not memorable enough to buy again. The Noel reminds me of typical potporri which I dont like.

I will not buy any more Votivos. Disappointed.

I do like TRAPP. They have nice frangrances and throw decent.
