There are so many different kinds of womens cologne that it can be hard to choose the ones that you like. Everyone has her own take on scent. Scent can bring back vivid memories and you may associate certain people with certain scents. Women tend to choose fragrance based on feelings while men take a more direct approach.

There are so many kinds of womens cologne and perfume to choose from these days. It seems there's a new fragrance coming out every week. The department store perfume counters are filled with tons of great scents. It can be difficult to make a choice.

Women tend to gravitate towards certain types of fragrance scents their whole lives. While the style and package may become more sophisticated as they age most women still stick to their favorite undertones and keep picking variations on that theme. For instance if you always liked romantic scents you'll probably stick to those even as you get older.

One way to update your scent is to choose a new variation on your old theme. While you may not want to switch from floral to spicy you may be willing to compromise. Update your fragrance by choosing a scent that has primarily floral notes but with some spicy undertones. This will really give your fragrance a new kick and yet still keep you happy since it's in your scent range.

Scents that are more complex are easier to use. Have you noticed that some womens cologne smells one way at first and then after you have it on it seems to change? You may be smelling the complex undertones of the scent that come out as the fragrance matures on the skin. These complex fragrances are more sophisticated but can be slightly heavy for daytime use. Choose a cologne spray for work and save the perfume for evenings out.

Womens cologne has such a wide array of scents you are certain to find one that suits your personality. It may take some time to get it right, however. Finding that one scent that seems to go with everything can be challenging. One new trend to consider trying is the scent groups. You'll find a set of small cologne bottles that each have a similar yet distinct scent. Wear one for day, one for evening, one for dates, etc. The idea is to keep your scents coordinated yet different based on what you're doing.

For daytime and everyday wear a good choice for womens cologne is one that is light and airy. You don't want a strong and steamy scent that overpowers you at work. Instead pick a scent with some fresh scents, floral or citrus. These are good choices for daytime.

For evening you can ramp it up a bit with darker, heavier scents that have musk or spices infused. These have a sexier feel and are stronger and more sophisticated. They help you make a statement when you're out and about.
