The One Dolce Gabbana Perfume for Men
September 11th, 2009 | Dolce Gabbana, Fragrance Perfume, Men's Fragrance, Perfume Review
This is a review of "The One", a Dolce Gabbana Perfume for Men.
This Dolce Gabbana perfume for men was originally released to be the male counterpart for "The One" for women by the same fragrance company. This perfume comes in a really nice, chic style packaging. The bottle for The One is transparent, and the lid is brown. There is a gap present between the cover and the bottle that was designed in order to enhance the unique style offered by this Dolce Gabbana perfume for men. Although the bottle is clear for this one, the perfume itself is actually orange, likely in manifestation of the cedar wood notes and the tobacco notes, which are both base notes in this fragrance.
Upon opening the bottle, the first scents that you will likely detect are a combination between basil and grapefruit, which are both soft and warm. Later on, this scent transforms into something with rich orange blossoms. During the dry-up stage, you will detect tobacco, amber and cedar wood which begin to surface during this time. There is a confident and sexual breath to this particular scent.
This perfume is capable of invoking a man that is keen to his personal as well as himself. It is capable of manifesting a true cosmopolitan feel for a guy that is mindful about the appearance that he is offering to the world. The man that wears The One Dolce Gabbana Perfume for men intends for the very best in his life and strives to perfect every stroke rather than simply to strive for average. The man that is exemplified by this The One Dolce Gabbana Perfume for men is one that is conscious of his looks, his appearance and the air about him.
The ad campaign that is utilized to advertise the One Dolce Gabbana Perfume for men depicts the face and the persona of Matthew McConaughey, who is quite known for his sexiness and his confidence, and clearly he attends well to his body and his appearance always. This ad was quite helpful in promoting everything that this particular fragrance is meant to be all about.
Personally, this isn't my ideal type of fragrance. I was not too thrilled with the notes present in the dry yup stage. The cedar wood and tobacco combination creates a smell that is almost like coconut, and I did not find it appealing. Still, if you enjoy the slightly coconutty smell of cedar wood in combination with tobacco, this may be a good fragrance for you to try out, especially if you are looking for a fragrance that has a unique, wild blend of top notes.
