The Shanthimali "Nag Champa" incense has a very inticing fragrance. I believe that this incense has a better quality to it than the Shrinavas or blue nag champa. The story behind this nag champa is one that brings a smile to know that you are helping unfortunate women in another country. I will always buy this nag champa over the blue.
Oh Yeah!

Oh Yeah, this is what it's all about. For me, the best smelling Nag Champa I've used. The real deal. Pure class and the aroma lingers so nicely. I won't buy the blue Nag anymore, the red is so much cleaner smelling, intense and deep.
The Best Incense Ever!

Hands down the Red Nag Champa is the best incense I have ever tried. I have always been a big fan of the Nag Champa Superhit and decided to try the Red Nag Champa and was pleasantly surprised. The scent is intoxicating and the perfect strength. It last long and burns great. If you want a sweet, alluring scent that will fill the room and calm you, this is the incense for you. I will order this incense time and time again. Number one on my list of incense.

After reading the five existing reviews, I decided to try this nag champa. I burned the red in one room and the Satya Sai Baba in another. The red is much more appealing.
Beautiful!

Great scent! A really beautiful smell. I'd recommend it to anyone. It's like slipping into a warm tub of sudsy water. If you like the original nag champa, you'll Love this.

I have a keen sense of smell. I can detect even the slightest hint of perfume. This also makes me extremely sensitive to anything artificial. When I first smelled the red naag champa while still in the box, I was afraid that it may be too intense for me. However, I bought it because the blue was not available, I really liked the pretty red box and I thought it smelled a bit more complex than the blue, and I liked that too. I waited until twilight, as is my usual ritual, and then lit the incense. I loved it almost right away. Again, it is a more complex scent and it took a little time to experience the whole scent. I like it best as it mixes with fresh air from an open window. It also lingers the next day in a subtle way. Very very nice.
Better than the Blue

I love this one, so much nicer than the blue Nag Champa ... hard for me to explain why, but give this one a try if you love the higher end incense.
You wont be disappointed !! |
Love this scent

I enjoy this incense, bought it after reading an online review. I still like the original Nag Champa better, but this still makes for an appealing, cleansing incense for any collection, used for meditation, etc...
Just as good as Satya Saibaba

I've always been partial to the Satya Saibaba Nag Champa incense (blue box) as I thought other brands smelled cheap. This Red Nag smells slightly different, but just as good as the Satya. It is a welcomed addition to any incense collection.
Great incense!

i am a huge fan of the nag champa blue box. my girlfriend got these and wanted to try out something new. they kinda smell like cleanex. but they make the house smell yummy and girly, which is what i think she was after.
Good, but not as great as everyone says

So I got some of these because everyone is saying that they're the best. They were ok, good even. I like the Satya Sai Babas better; they have a piquant spice note to them that these don't have.
I like the Sairam in the yellow box better too (though they're hard to find). These are more along the lines of Super Hit to me. Flowery and sweet. Nice odor, but without the "edge" of the Sai Baba or the Sairam.
I don't know what the Sai Baba odor was like before c.2005 when they supposedly reformulated their sticks, because I was buying really cheap stuff back then (I know, the shame). But they work for me.
So, in summary, these are good. They definitely have their own aroma, which isn't quite like anything out there. I'm glad I tried them out, but there are other, "spicier" sticks that I would go for before these. |
I QUESTION

I fell in love with NAG CHAMPA incense through the blue box. After the blue box incense burns, a pleasant aroma lingers in the home for three days. With this red box stuff, the aroma is gone the day that it is burned. The blue NAG CHAMPA has holograms sealing the box. This red box just has a stuck on NAG CHAMPA label. I am wondering if what I bought, is the real NAG CHAMPA incense.
