I have to say that as a dressy scent, Double Black really has it down. The 1.3oz spray should last long enough for me, considering I truly enjoy it, but it's not the best for wearing every day, all day. I wear it for dinners and ceremonies for work... it works well and doesn't quite have the knockdown power that would make it unattractive. I appreciate the maturity of the scent as well.
So at the least, this poorly written review should say it's great, and not too strong... I wear Polo Black for Men by Ralph Lauren for fall, winter days, I love Polo Blue By Ralph Lauren For Men for spring and summer mornings because of its fantastic clean smell, and of course, DOLCE GABBANA THE ONE BY Dolce Gabbana For Men for nights out... so I guess if you have smelled these you should appreciate that this might work for you too, but for goodness' sake, go smell these before you buy them... a place like Sephora can be your best friend before investing in cologne. |

| This is my favorite of all colognes....It is very subtle and mature. I don't really know how define it other than smelling on the darker side(hence double black I guess....), but it isn't like those bright Lauren ones like Polo Blue or just plain Polo. It doesn't overwhelm but it def. noticeable; One many occasions I have had people ask what that smell was...wait, that came out wrong. But you know what I mean. I hear it has a hint of espresso to it, I would say that configures into the scent. Good stuff, worth the $. |

| I purchased this for my friend to use when he travels. He likes the fact that he doesn't have to purchase a full size bottle to see if he likes the frangrance. I wish that you could also supply the miniature sizes of all of your frangrances. Good delivery of the product, well packaged. Description on-line was what I received. No disappointments. |

I've always enjoyed the Polo products, and decided to try the double black for a change. I really enjoy the subtle clean fragrance of this obviously masculine fragrance. There have been a few colognes that have been to ambiguous for my taste, that cost as much or more than the Polo Double Black. I do not like the over powering fragrances, or those that are too flowery. So this as I mentioned has a definitively masculine touch with a very clean subtle spicy odor that drew me to it the first time I tried it on.
I'm sure that after awhile I'll start using some of my other men's fragrances in my small collection. But right now this honestly is the cologne I reach for, and it works in just about any circumstance, casual day, evening or formal events.
Plus my wife loves it. |

| I love this cologne, it is easily my favorite. I used to use polo black and when that ran out i have this a try and very happy I did. This cologne smells so manly. It smells somewhat like rum as my girlfriend told me I smelt like rum and asked if I'd been drinking when I initially put it on but after an hour it mixes with your natural smell and smells great. After buying this cologne, I got burberry brit as a gift and have to say that smells really feminine compared to double black. I highly recommend this cologne for anyone looking for a manly masculine cologne. May be a little too much for the workplace or the summer time but that's a personal decision. |

| Cologne is the real deal. Ive worn double black for over a year now and it has such a mild clean scent. I do wish that it lasted as long as Polo Blue though. I'm curious as to why people would order a cologne online that they have never smelled before and than leave poor reviews because they weren't satisfied with the scent..? Stupidity I guess. Order a cologne you are familiar with and have smelled and then resort to amazon for a cheaper price compared to Macy's, JC Penney's, etc. |

| Polo Black is marketed towards the sophisticated and modern ("GQ") type of man. I can see this fragrance worn by young and middle-aged business men at work or to formal events. Polo Black is a cool, sharp (almost acrid), and a tad spicy. It' funny, but I was reminded of the smell of clothes that had been stored with mothballs. Polo Black is not a warm fragrance. |
