Satya Sai Baba Nag Champa is made in India by the Shrinivas Sugandhalaya company. Each stick is a special blend of natural herbs, resins, flowers and oils that are hand rolled. Each stick weighs about a gram and burns for approximately 45 to 60 minutes.
It is important to note that each sticks weighs a gram, because the company sells them by weight, not by number. Therefore if you buy a 250 gram box it equals 250 sticks and if you buy a 100 gram box it equals 100 sticks, etc.
I have been burning incense practically on a daily basis for the last 10 years and I have never found another brand of incense that can even come close to equaling the quality and fragrance of Nag Champa. THIS IS THE BEST INCENSE YOU WILL EVER BUY!
* NOTE:
In the many years that I have been buying this product the quality from the manufacturer has ALWAYS been excellent. However because this product is `natural,' it is sensitive to certain factors that will effect it's quality and are beyond the manufacturers control.
When you open the box the incense sticks should be a grey color and leave a grey dust on your hands when you touch them. It is also normal for some of this grey dust to collect at the bottom of the package (the bigger the box the more grey dust will flake off and settle to the bottom).
Once in awhile you might get a box of incense sticks that are dark brown and tan. This is an indication that they have been sitting on the shelf of the store for a long time and / or they have been exposed to damp weather conditions. This is not the fault of the manufacturer and they are still good, they will just be harder to light and their fragrance will not be quite as strong. This however does not usually happen very often. |
The quintessential incense, holds great sentimental value

| It's difficult to review a brand of incense, and yet I'm eager to do so. I was first introduced to Nag Champa as a teenager in the mid-1990s at Journey's Bookstore, a now-closed New Age and recovery center in Beaverton, Oregon. It created such a beautiful, delicate, and peaceful atmosphere, especially when juxtaposed with the soothing music of Aeoliah playing in the background. Since then, not a month has gone by that I have not burnt at least a stick of this exotic scent. In fact, lately I have been burning several sticks a day - see, after I moved from the Portland area, my primary New Age supplier became Rosebud & Fish Bookstore in Salem. Sadly, the same fate befell Rosebud & Fish ... and at their going-out-of-business sale I bought over eighty-dollars worth of Nag Champa. I now have almost enough to open my own store! Anyway, like I said, it's hard to write a review of incense. Perhaps I should add that the lady who managed the now-closed (see a trend?) Alexandria Bookstore at Rosicrucian Park in San Jose, California, said that Nag Champa is a "classic" incense, and it became famous in the US during the 1960s, giving it something of a Hippie association. And I remember once talking to an Indian man who said proudly that this is a very "Indian" scent (he also told me that "Nag Champa" is Hindi for "Green Jasmine"), which makes sense since it is produced in India under the auspices of the Satya Sai Baba organization. Unfortunately, recent scandals regarding Satya Sai Baba have somewhat tarnished his reputation, but they cannot detract from the fact that this is a beautiful fragrance with which I have many positive associations and memories. Nag Champa & World Incense

I discovered Nag Champa when I was visiting a local incense shop. The manager recommended it to me as her favorite incense. She also told me she liked to burn it all the time.
I took her word and bought 15 grams to try it out. I rarely ever used incense more than one week and thought the same with this kind. I was very wrong. It was very different than the run-of-the-mill incense you see unopened sitting in bundles!
As you see in other reviews it is a very mild soothing aroma in the air. It sounds funny to say this but it almost slows the air down. As long as you have a quiet environment it brings tranquility.I would recommend this to anyone, not just people who are into incense.
Of course I bought more, but this time I bought it in bigger bulk from World Incense on Amazon. I received the 100g package quickly along with samples of the other Nag Champa flavors. Everything was sealed to keep in the freshness. I figure I will always get it this way and look forward to doing business with Tom again. |

| I have little experience when it comes to incense because the last time I bought it was five or so years ago from the mall, but the stuff that I got was still moist, it wasn't too crumbly, and it smelled amazing. I'm guessing that means that it's still fresh. Either way, it's a great value and it burns wonderfully. |

When it comes to incense... there are lots of varieties in scents.... but the truth is:
This is the true incense, everything else is a variation on this scent.
Having said that, you should try this if you haven't. Other smells are great, but this is so authentic, that you'll never be as happy with other scents after smelling this one. |
Pleasant, comforting aroma

| I really liked this incense for the lower price but I have a couple of nit picky complaints. After lighting many of the sticks I find that the incense will burn for 5-10 minutes then burn out leaving me with a half stick. Re-lighting the stick burns for another 5-10 minutes then I have to do it again. Kinda frustrating when I just want to enjoy the scent for a half hour while I study or surf the net or whatever. Also, the scent isn't quite as smooth as the "Red box," version of this found elsewhere on Amazon. I may have gotten a bad batch or something that sat in a warehouse for too long but I'll definitely try it again. |

| This is a really great deal on high quality incense. For those that don't know what it smells like, it's pretty common in new age shops and also massage places. If you like that smell, you will like this incense. Long burning, easy to light. Very nice and relaxing. |

| Once my Hindu friend recommended Nag Champa, I couldn't go back. I used to think she wore some great smelling perfume. Turns out her family just burned a lot of Nag Champa. I keep unburned sticks of it in my car as an air freshener. The best part of Nag Champa is its many forms: sticks, cones, gigantic sticks, oils, and soap. I highly recommend this product!!! |

| This is the scent you know and love. I have tried other classics, like sandalwood or patchouli, but keep going back to this one. It never gets tiring. This is a quality version of it so if you like this scent, you'll do well here. Strong and longer burning than many I've tried. |

| This is the best brand of Nag Champa around, by far, hands down! The only small issue I have is that the wooden sticks themselves are irregular and some are so thin they bend over and are impossible to burn in a typical incense burner, so what I do is break the wood off to a short nub just below the incense and stick them in the ground to burn outside my yoga studio to create an inviting scent as students enter. Buy them here; it is the best pricing I have found anywhere. |

| I have been an incense user for quite a few years now & a recent trip to Disney's Epcot led to a terrific discovery! It was there I discovered the Nag Champa incense (which I over paid for). After burning through the small & way over priced box I sought out more online. I discovered a box of 100 for not much more than what I paid for a box of 15 at Disney! Anyways, if you like incense, than you must try these. The shipping was super fast also. I will be using Amazon again when I run out! |

| I was very pleased with my purchase of these genuine made in India Nag Champa incense sticks. They are certainly worth the money I paid for it. I have only one suggestion: vacuum pack the sticks inside the box in order to contain the scent before use. Other than that everything was perfect. |
Nag Champa a sure-fire classic

| Nag Champa -- Some of us were first introduced to it in college for undisclosed reasons; others may have grown up with it from having hippie parents. But the fact remains this product is consistent year after year. Although some consider it to have a strong aroma, that's what makes it so effective against unpleasant odors -- and those you hope to cover up and keep unnoticed. Each stick burns for a considerable amount of time. On a personal basis, the incense has at times acted as a sleep aid through its aromatherapy properties. The 100 gram box is the best value. |
