The Island perfume was originally presented in the year 2005. This blue lagoon of a fragrance was created by Christophe Laudamiel and Loc Dong, and it was dedicated to conches, sexy women and chic women with an attitude and a lifestyle that match up with the luxurious and the relaxing feeling that this perfume exemplifies. The Island perfume opens up with notes of Kauai waterfall, Chinese kiwi and ion waterfall. The heart of the Island perfume includes tiger lily, honeysuckle, Bulgarian rose, tulip and ginger. The base notes in this Island perfume include birch, rice field and driftwood in a sensuous combination.

The Island perfume bottle captivates with a unique design and color, mixing up luxurious and modern to represent a journey or a holiday along the shores of the Caribbean. The rectangle bottle and cap simulate carefree and calm sea water that seems to melt in with the horizon.

The Island perfume is available in a 50 ml Eau de Parfum and a 100 ml Eau de Parfum, and is also available as a body lotion as well as a shower gel.

The Island perfume happened to be my second fragrance from Michael Kors. After I was turned on to his perfumes, I wasn't sure if I was ready to try another but I am glad that I did. I ended up purchasing this one anyway and have never regretted it. Island is much more wearable on my skin than the other Kors perfumes that I have tried, making it a real winner in my book. It is both fresh and calming, and every time I am wearing it I automatically feel extremely relaxed. It puts me in a really pleasant mood, and I find myself daydreaming about the most gorgeous tropical beaches. The opening is not overpowering or overwhelming at all. You can smell the florals right off the bat, including the Bulgarian roses as well as the lily of the valleys. The floral scent feels really rich and exotic above all else, and I've never had anything else like it on my skin. I highly recommend this one to everyone I know, because it is fresh, clean and exotic in every possible way.
