Morning Star's Sandalwood incense is, by far, the best smelling incense I've ever smelled.
Don't believe me? Here's proof.
Back when I was a wee lad at the age of 8, I went to a friend's house whose parents burnt Sandalwood religiously, so when you walked in the smell just hit you. I swore, from that point on, that when I got a place of my own I'd burn those incense. A decade later, I held true to that notion.
Point is, I went for years upon years with never smelling it again, but I still remembered how good it smelled. You know you've got a great product on your hands when it can leave that much of an impression on you. To this day, I still maintain that Sandalwood is one of my favorite smells of all time.
Past that little history lesson, as you've clearly learned by reading other reviews, Morning Star makes high quality incense. The smell lingers long after the stick is done burning, and what's more, they're cheap. Don't waste your time on rip-offs, go for the good stuff, my friend. |
Best incense on the market

Don't bother with any kind of incense you find at any local store, cause you can be sure they won't be carrying this stuff. Nippon Kodo is probably the best kind of incense you can purchase for multiple reasons.
Burns cleaner. Yep, it's pure incense and not some batter-dipped stick, so all you get is a great smell in your room. The incense I used to burn was batter-dipped and it always smelled more of burning wood than of the incense itself.
Lasts long. The sticks aren't that long at all, but they still last a good 20-30 minutes. Not only that, but it's powerful smell so you won't have to use 2 at a time or anything.
Price. Even after the cost of shipping, it's still really cheap for a 50 stick box. There's really no reason for you to not try out this incense if you are just getting into burning incense, or have already been doing it a while. I'd say this is the best incense on the market right now, and after giving it a shot, I bet you'll say the same. |

| I got this as a gift from an elderly Japanese man, and ended up buying some myself! It has become my favorite brand of incense, and I especially like the green tea fragrance. I lay in the bed at the end of my day with a stick of morning star burning on my bedstand beside the open window. Buy some and see what happens to your night. |

Where do I start??! World-Incense is, hands-down, THE premier merchant in the department of customer service. Let-alone HIGH quality product (more on the actual product to follow).
First off, this merchant issued a partial refund to my account as they felt I was charged too much for shipping charges. Now keep in mind that I did NOT even ask for this credit/refund. They just did it because they're honest/ solid/ awesome human beings!
Now, as far as the product goes, I ordered Morning Star Green Tea 50 Sticks and Morning Star Sandalwood Incense (50 Sticks)... Both superb! They also sent some samplers and all of those were superb as well. Top-notch! ALSO, a personalized thank you! They went this far out of their way for my puny little $4 order...
Incredible merchant, top-notch product... I can't say enough great things about them!
I will only buy my incense from this seller from now on.
Thank you World-Incense! You're THE best!

Best incense around

| This is the best incense around. The product is great but the shipping and handling is outrageously high and not what I expect from the Amazon tradition of fair pricing. If I would not be in recovery from surgery and house-bound this holiday, this would not be my choice. I wanted this incense essentially for stocking stuffers and am happy to be able to get it, but feel rather robbed by the postage. Ho! Ho! Ho? |
Very nice scent

| These incense sticks are smaller than many others I have, but the sandalwood scent is very nice and lasts for a long time. I will definitely buy more. |

| I buy stick incense all the time but have never seen any like this. They are small and evenly sized from end to end. No wood stick sticking out. It came with a free little ceramic incense holder about the side of a nickle. Smells great and burns slowly. Great buy i must say. |
smells good, man.

| like the title said, it smells pretty fantastic. I do suggest burning a half stick if you're gonna be in a small room, because dang, its powerful. it certainly helps to cover up the way your place normally smells. |
Excellent value

| 50 short, spaghetti-like sticks of pure sandlewood incense that burn from end to end. The smell takes me back to a better time. |
I love Morning Star Sandlwood Incense

I used to buy Morning Star sandlwood incense in China Town/Chicago, years ago. Since then I'd been receiving it as gifts. When I ran out I thought I'd look for it on line and found it at Amazon. I did think the shipping was a little pricey, seeing how light the boxes are. But I am enjoying the incense now.
Thank You,
Anita

Don't Judge by Size

I was disappointed by size of incense sticks when I first received it. But after burning the first stick I was pleasantly surprised that it took 35 min. to burn and left a wonderful scent that lasted a long time. Burned a couple of sticks in my basement rec room and could still smell the wonderful Sandalwood scent a few days later. The scent was also better than other Sandalwood incense that I've bought in
the past. So don't judge this item by it's size. Good things can come in small packages. Vikki |

| This product is from a good manufacture. Smells That Fill the room as to enkindle the sense like a flavored water as to not. Most of all It is different than air fresh spray and is as simple is why not tickle the cillea with sweet smells. It Been Written that cassia is a fine aroma that help whart off pests too. Thanks Nippon excellent Choice. |
Nice scent but not up to par with others

| This are mini incense sticks and they burn for about 5 minutes. The fragrance is fine but these just don't have the impact of other brands like Gonesh. |
NOT MADE IN JAPAN AS SPECIFIED
|

| Reviewer: S. Truong, |
I chose this product because it specifically listed Japan as the country of origin. When I received it, there was a sticker that was conveniently placed over the "Made in Hong Kong" text.
The order was also delivered late and since this was a gift, I had no choice but to give it away since I received it the night before I needed it. If I had a choice, I would have returned it.
If you want real Japanese incense that is made in Japan, do not order these! |
