This is the real lip plumper

| So, most of the lip plumpers that you buy in the store has this stuff in it. You pay ridiculous amounts of money for products that have small amounts of cinnamon leaf oil. Well, this is 100% cinnamon leaf oil and it is dirt cheap. All you have to do is add some ( I add a few eye droppers full) to any liquid lip gloss and you will have a potent lip plumper that actually works. I am warning you though...this stuff is strong and it does burn, however it works better than anything I have ever tried (including lip fusion, and lip venom). |

dear gods do i hate those damn expensive lip plumpers. only lip fusion has ever done a thing for me and its too expensive to keep up with. i added this stuff to a regular tube of lip gloss (ok a lot of this stuff) and while it did sting a little for maybe five minutes, my lips, while i use this are lovely. My only complaint would be the strength of the smell, but Christmas is coming anyways i can play it off as festive :)

Plumps lips through irritation

| This is the product all the lip plumpers use, and comes at a way cheaper price than things such as Lip Venom. But god it burns! Be careful not to use a little too much like I did, you'll feel like your lips are falling off. ): But anyway, as said in the other review this is the real thing, and you should just apply a little to your lip gloss for a good lip plumper. |

| This really works. I didn't use enough the first time and will add more. I do see a difference and it is a lot cheaper than buying expensive lip plumping products. |
If you own only a single essential oil, this should be it!

Lavender is arguably one of the most famous and most loved of all the Essential Oils. It is definitely also among the most versatile; any listing of essential oils and their uses you find, Lavender is almost guaranteed to have the most entries. If you were to have only one essential oil in your home, Lavender should be it, hands-down.
So what's the big deal? What all is it good for?
To start with, it just smells lovely. But of course, this isn't really anything to do with `what it is good for', but it certainly bears mentioning. On the more `effective' side, it is one of the few essential oils that can be safely used undiluted on the skin (for most people - some are too sensitive even for this oil undiluted). It is also unsurpassed in the realm of essential oils for treating burns. I can speak from personal experience when I say a drop or two of lavender essential oil applied to a fresh burn will help reduce or even prevent blistering, and hugely reduce the healing time required (even though it will sting slightly at first).
In addition to that, it is also a natural antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antidepressant, sedative, and detoxifier. It helps to promote healing and reduce scarring by stimulating the immune system and encourages the cells themselves to regenerate more quickly. It can both calm and stimulate depending on your need. It can help soothe and refresh tired, sore muscle and feet.
Digging still further, you can find that it is also effective against abscesses, acne, allergies, anxiety, arthritis, asthma, athlete's foot, bacteria, boils, bronchitis, bruises, colds, colic, cuts and wounds, cystitis, dandruff, depression, dermatitis, diarrhea, earache, eczema, fainting, headaches, hysteria, hypertension, infections, inflammation, influenza, insect bites, insomnia, hysteria, migraine, nausea, nervous tension, oily skin, PMS, psoriasis, rheumatism, sinusitis, sores, sprains, stress, stretch marks, sunburn, tension, ulcers, vertigo, and whooping cough.
Alright, clearly Lavender is useful. Why Aura Cacia specifically?
Aura Cacia is one of the oldest, largest, and most-respected brands on essential oils on the market. Although some may speak out against Aura Cacia, the only thing that I have really been able to glean from the objections of any substance is that they are a large company. And while I would count myself among the first to promote small business, I don't feel that just because a company is large one shouldn't purchase from them, if the quality is there. In this case, the quality is definitely there. And, because they are a large company, they can offer truly wonderful prices that smaller companies just can't match. |
Essential Oils for Dreamy Sleep

Essential oils are doors to new experiences and Ylang Ylang is a more sensual oil that can be blended into massage oils and creams.
The tree is native to Indonesia and Malaysia and star-shaped pale yellow flowers with trailing and twisting petals produce a heady aromatic scent that also seems to have a slight lemony edge. The flowers are collected at night in May and June and the essential oil that is distilled is a highly evocative fragrance.
Soft, exciting, sensual and almost invigorating yet makes you sleepy. A highly complex fragrance that leaves you a bit heady and definitely in the mood to relax. This oil is perfect for sensual moments, massage, bubble baths or just to apply to your wrists before bed. I've also been known to sprinkle this around smooth stones placed around candles.
I would only recommend this essential oil for use when you don't have to be very aware and can drift off into a dreamy sleep. Add this oil to your evening bath or put a few drops on the top of your head before you do your evening yoga
routine.

It is true that this oil will sting, so using it sparingly is a wise thing, but it does actually make a difference in plumping the lips, and can be used with other lipsticks. It is a big price break from the other plumpers which really don't do anything.
I will be getting more. |
Refreshing Scent of Orange
|
| Review Date: May 7, 2005 |
| Reviewer: M. Allen Greenbaum, California |
I received this as a gift several years ago, and, though not a bigtime aromatherapy follower, I found that it worked as promoted. The oil, like the flower from which it is derived gives off a wonderful orange scent that is best described as invigorating. For this reason, I primarily used it at work.
Although there are many delivery systems, I simply put a drop on a non-porous surface. Even though it is not overpowering, the orange lasted for hours. My office seemed fresh and invigorating (that is the operative word here)y, yet relaxed. This is cafe au lait (heavy on the au lait) more than a double shot of espresso. I can't explain the science of it, but I have really enjoyed it.
Other uses of the Bergamot plant (Monarda didyma), an American perennial used by native Americans and the early colonists, are in flower gardens (they're colorful and they attract bees), and in salads and drinks. You can also take 5-6 fresh leaves, and add a cup of boiling water to make a refreshing tea. (But do not try this with the essential oil).
Whether you believe in aromatherapy principles (an integral part of the increasingly popular Feng Shui movement in America), or, like me, you simply enjoy refreshing scents, you may want to give this a try. More information on the manufacturer may be found at www.auracacia.com. |

If you are looking for a rich and healing moisturizer with this scent, try the Burt's Bees Evening Primrose Overnight Creme. It can also be used as a massage cream.

I really love the smell of lavender. I carry a vial with me everywhere I go and inhale it often because it has a calming aroma. The very sweet aroma reminds me of mint tea. I am now experimenting with ways to use it to take advantage of its therapeutic qualities. So far I find it's best used in an ultrasonic mister. I tried a few drops in a few tablespoons of jojoba oil and used it as a temple rub. I also place drops on my pillows before bed.
I really recommend this for people who want relief from stress and a little relief from anxiety and panic attacks (it's like an emergency inhaler to me). |

| This isn't the cheapest peppermint essential oil around, but I bought it with a larger order which I was having shipped, and this cost no more to ship. It's perfectly nice. I mix it with distilled water and vanilla extract for a nice air freshener and with a diluted unscented dish detergent (eco-friendly) in addition to the vanilla and peppermint and it's a great all-purpose kitchen spray for wiping up and making your kitchen smell great. It just takes a few drops for most any application - very concentrated - like the lemongrass version. Most other essentail oils aren't very strong in my opinion and you have to use tons of product to get any scent. The lemongrass mixed with distilled water and vanilla extract is also a good air freshener/cleaner, as is the orange (less concentrated). I think all of the Aura Cacia oils are of good quality and value, if you want small amounts. Larger sizes are less expensive in other brands. |

| Like many I picked this up to try to avoid huge costs for expensive plumpers, It works, as others have noted through irritation, so be prepared for a little sting and definitely err on the side of caution before you destroy a nice lip gloss by overloading it with this, because once it's added, you can't take it back. |
Aromatherapy only

| Aura Cacia are largely good quality essential oils, good for external aromatherapy purposes only. We use a couple drops of essential oil per litre of homemade seltzer for flavoring. This isn't good for that particular purpose [you know, the reason I bought it?] Now Foods essential oils are better for flavoring use. I'll still use this oil for soaps, mists and in my vessel, but it won't be passing my lips. They don't mention this in the description. Aura Cacia peppermint oil can be consumed, but would make a nasty seltzer [perhaps]. |

| I added to my lip gloss like the other reviewers suggested. It's okay, there's some effect like all the other plumpers out there. I used to use Lip Venom, and it's about the same as that, except that this oil has a stronger smell that isn't really cinnamony, it's just kind of weird. It's a cheap way to make all your glosses into plumpers though. |

| I bought this because I have read that Cinnamon Leaf Oil is used in major lip plumpers like Too Faced Lip Injection, DuWop Lip Venom, ect. I figured, why waste the extra money when I could just buy the main ingredient and mix it in my favorite lip gloss? Well, first off, it *does* work. However, the SMELL is UNBEARABLE. It has a really strong and sickly scent and it lingers around *forever*. I just can't get over it and because of that alone, I am willing to pay the extra bucks for my Too Faced Lip Injection. |
