Neat-o, very vibrant

| I purchased 2 packs of the cones and sticks. I think I like the cones better. The shape of the cone makes the flames leap higher than the sticks. The colors are very vibrant! Bright purples, blues and greens mixed with the reds and oranges of the fire were as my nephew said neat-o. I had to agree. it was very cool. We used 3 cones at a time and the whole fire was a blaze in blue! Lots of fun! |
Superior Fire Effects

I bought these sticks, along with competitors' packages of crystals, for use in a very large Cub Scout campfire, and they performed excellently. These sticks produced intensely blue and green flames for approximately 15 minutes each. The scouts were fascinated by the effect, and the adults also found it very satisfying. The blue color works out particularly well for Cub Scouts.
Here's a trick: for the campfire, I unbraided a three-strand 2" sisal/hemp rope. I took the large strand and used a 6' section of it to wrap tightly around one of the campfire logs, with two of these color-flame sticks inside the wrap. The rope insulates the stick from the flame for some time, and once the rope burns down the stick slowly releases its color, for a very nice, delayed effect (which can really enhance the "magic" aspect of your fire color, if you're going for that sort of thing).
None of the sticks arrived broken, but they do their job broken or not. Some of the crystals had shed inside the packaging, but one can dump these crystals directly into the fire for the same effect.
Bottom line: This is a great product at a fair price, which performed exactly as advertised, and surprised me with its longevity of effect. I've got more scout camping and campfires coming up this summer, and this product definitely will be involved. |
wicked cool!

| I purchased some of the cones and sticks for family and friends, but couldn't resist trying some out for myself. They're awesome! I personally prefer the pinecones. Everyone was in awe at the colors. They're so neat that I had to buy more for myself! |
We love these!

| We took these camping last year and the kids loved them. They actually put out color for quite a while which I was surprised. The kids all got to throw some in the fire and it does not make the fire flare up so as to be concerned the kids would get burned but they kind of slowly burn and put out different colors. Had to buy them again since we camp every year and the kids where asking for them!Only negative is the price-it's a little pricey but it gave us at least an hour of color (we bought 2 boxes and had 8 kids) |
A great addition to the campfire! A huge hit!

| I purchased 6 bags of these for a recent camping trip. They were a HUGE hit with children and adults alike. Colors were varied and vibrant and quite beautiful. The campfire is one of my favorite parts of camping and I'll definitely be buying more of these. I purchased the pine cones rather than the sticks after reading other reviews. These are best used when you have the fire going really well and have big flames so they can really show off the colors. Only downside of using them in a campfire is you need to wait until the color is gone before cooking over the fire (s'mores had to wait a bit) because eating food cooked over the chemically induced colored flame isn't recommended. Still worked out great. |

| These magic sticks are great for around the fire. Similar to the "tubes" found at campgrounds, but the fire is much brighter and more colorful. |
Great

| Bought this for my husband the fire boy. Im not sure if he, or the kids, enjoyed this more. The color lasts for a very long time, and the color is very vivid. Very pretty. Now I need to go buy more because we liked it so much. |

| These were bought for our nephew and he couldn't believe how incredible they were. They really last for a while and the colors change from purple to blue to green. What a hit for the whole family, in fact they asked where they could buy more. |
I would buy more!

| The color sticks work great and were a big hit for young and old alike. I wish I had bought more for our last camping trip. |

| These are pretty cool, Would be nice if they has could make a large spectrum of color, but still a lot of fun to throw in the fire. |

| Delivery a bit on the slow side even for "Supersaver" shipping option. But, product exactly as advertised; makes a nice blue color. Only downside is they don't last very long; maybe a few minutes each. |
Nice blue color, not very long lasting

| These sticks were fun to throw into the fire at Christmas and watch the reactions. They burn quick - about 5 minutes maximum. |
How long do they last ?

none of the reviews state how long the sticks or cones last in a campfire.
10 minutes? 1 hour? It would help to know that so I would know how many to buy. Would be a shame to have the whole thing be done in just a few minutes. |
They look cool. Sorry haven't tried out yet - too much rain!

| One suggestion to seller, when ordering product a place to pick either the sticks or pinecones. I didn't have a choice, was send the sticks only. I was hoping to try one of each. |
Very interesting

I bought these as part of a "fire" themed Christmas gift pack for a person who has a brand new home and fire pit. I also added "coffee logs", a fire poker and a canvas log carrier
I thought that these would be a unique touch! |
Dissapointed with broken pieces, but color is nice gimmick...

We received these as gifts. I was disappointed that the bag contained many broken pieces, many of which were small and unusable. I think these are not true to description, as instead of sticks I received pine-cones (and only 6 if I remember correctly).
They are not to be used as fire starters, but to enhance the color of your fire. They were interesting to look at, and they made for a nice gift when combined with other fire-starting items, but I will not purchase these. |
