When it comes to looking to buy the perfect fragrance in order to enhance our smell, there are actually typically four different options that we can choose from, which are Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum, Eau de Cologne and a Spray. As most fragrances tend to be quite pricey in nature, it is vitally important to know what each of these types of fragrances is as well as what attributes each one is capable of possessing.

Eau De Toilette - This is a weaker blend in comparison to Eau de Parfum, and it has a concentration that is between 5 % and 15 %. These are ideal for you if you are looking for a fragrance that isn't going to be too powerful, but that is still going to be capable of sticking around for a while. Just keep in mind that it is not going to last as long for you as an Eau De Parfum, so if you are looking for something that is going to last all throughout the day with you, then either take the fragrance with you so that you can reapply it, or choose something that is going to last a little bit longer for you.

Eau de Parfum - Also known as an Eau de Perfume, this is the most common out of all of the perfumes that you are typically going to find. The concentration level for an Eau de Parfum or Eau de Perfume is generally going to be between 15 % and 20 %. What this means is that the fragrance that you get from a Eau de Parfum or Eau de Perfume is going to be stronger for you whenever it is originally applied, and then it is going to linger for a much longer period in comparison to other fragrances that are not as concentrated.

Eau de Cologne - You will find that many people confuse Eau de Cologne with Eau de Toilette because they share a quite similar percentage when it comes to concentration, but you will also find that Eau de Cologne typically has a much weaker compound aromatically, which is around 3 % to 8 %. This is a fragrance that most commonly has a light and sort of citrus like aroma. The Eau de Cologne is generally best if you are just looking for a hint of scent rather than something stronger or longer lasting.

Spray - Finally, you have sprays, which are the weakest in terms of compounds at between 1 % and 3 %. This type of fragrance is especially ideal if you are looking for something to carry around with you that you can simply apply whenever it is needed. Sprays are used for refreshing and do not last nearly as long as other types of perfumes.
