Let us say that you are looking for it all: You are seeking out a comprehensive tome on the history behind perfume, biographies on all of the greatest noses from the past, a unique insight on how fragrances as well as fragrance bottles are created, a guide that has addresses and classifications and perfumes and so much more. If you are looking for a book that goes everywhere, does everything and reports back all of the vital information on the world of perfume and fragrance, then this book of perfume is a must have for you. There may not be a book out there that covers absolutely everything that you need to know about perfume, but if you want to come really, dangerously close, then the " book of perfume" by Elisabeth Barille is what you have available.
This book is lavishly illustrated, and it combines all of the necessary ingredients to create a book that is capable of capturing the attention of virtually anyone that is passionate about fragrances and perfume from someone who is not more than a curious novice to anyone that is adept at the world of perfumery. Here you will quickly and easily find a plethora of different facts of fragrances and anecdotes about the perfume trade. The book is well written and it is authoritative, and it is built on a truly genuine passion for perfumery and accurate knowledge and research for the best possible compilation of information on perfume.
There is definitely a lot of interesting information to behold in this Book of Perfume. There are some limitations, especially since it is an older book, but it is still well worth owning, especially if you are trying to build a library of books on perfumes and perfumery to accommodate your collection of unique scents and fragrances. You can still acquire a new copy of this unique book as the Book of Perfume is still widely available in a new format despite the fact that it is such an older book, but you should know that the prices can vary considerably for it from $40 dollars to $70 dollars depending on where you find it.
The author of this book, Elisabeth Barille is a novelist that has experience writing booklets for famous perfumes. Her co-author is a philosopher that became a journalist later in life. Both women are truly passionate about fragrance and perfume.
